The Galactic Enterprise
Today is your final mission aboard the Galactic Enterprise, but something is not right...
This was made for GDKO Round 6. The challenge was to make a game played with a single button and with the theme Audio. It is recommended to play with sound (use headphones for the best experience). If you are hard of hearing, there are visual cues so you can still complete the game.
- Controls: Spacebar to jump, You may need to click the game window if the keyboard is not working at the start, or in rare cases reload the page.
- Sound Effects: All the sound effects are royalty-free from Pixabay or mixkit.co. I edited the sounds with Audacity to create the final versions for each scene. The robot voices are recorded using text-to-speech and edited by me.
- Music: This game contains three creative commons (CC BY 4.0) songs by Ross Bugden: "Run", "Creepy Horror Music" and "Without Limits". It also contains the song "Simple Piano Melody" by ZakharValaha from Pixabay.
- Browser: I recommend using Chrome (or Brave). You can also use Firefox but I noticed that sometimes the audio becomes a bit desynchronized.
To learn more about the characters, you can play my GDKO Round 5 and Round 3 entry.

Congrats for making it to the final! I'm glad that the judges chose your game over mine as yours was so much better in my opinion. I honestly thought that yours would come in first place as it is such an epic game with such likeable characters and so much thought gone into it. Wishing you a lot of luck in the finale of GDKO 2022!
Thank you! Everyone reading this, check out https://gamefavorites.itch.io/egg-baguette, it is so much fun!
Wow! I think this is truly amazing. The dialogue was a lot of fun and I particularly liked the open space with all of the lava and all of the different environments to go through and the things that happen. And then the ending as well, really, this is quite something.
Thank you so much :)
The lore is strong with this one.
Great to see friendly faces. Your humour always gets me.
The foreshadowing techniques you use for your writing the dialogue is well crafted and fitted perfectly with this game! The dark spiced up the mechanics nicely.
Have to say, those cliffs that were pushed around took me forever to clear. If it is any consolation :D
Thank you :)
Not often you play a game jam game that has a good (and complete) storyline worked in. The music, the timing of the voice, the dialogue... All of it! great job!
Thank you for playing :)
